About Teeth Aligners
Some adults did not have the need or weren't able to wear braces during adolescence, but they now experience some spacing or crowding problematic areas that keep them from attaining a straight, attractive smile. Invisible teeth orthodontic aligner trays are uniquely designed covers for the teeth made from invisible plastic or acrylic material that effectively alters teeth into alignment. Using stages of aligners over a number of months, clear teeth aligners effectively straighten mild to moderate crowded teeth and spacing irregularities for straighter, healthier teeth. Invisible aligner trays are somewhat preferred by patients over traditional visible straightening methods since they are hardly noticed and can be set aside for eating, brushing, and flossing. Our dentists at Pat Booker Dental Care in Universal City, TX explain teeth straightening recommendations, such as clear teeth aligners during regular cleanings.

"Friendly Staff! I love coming to this office. I had previous work done at another office which the Dr. caused me tooth pain when i would eat something crunchy, i went back 3 times and the problem never got fixed so i gave up. My first visit to this office i explained my problem and the Dr. was able to determine right away what was wrong and fixed it. I can now eat on both sides of my mouth without pain. The staff here are great and they listen!"- A.S. / Google / Dec 07, 2018

What to Expect
Each phase of clear aligners are tailored depending on the patient's existing teeth structure. Each set of aligners are manufactured based on digital X-rays, physical impressions, and photos. The individual will start off with several sets of aligning trays at their orthodontic visit and our dentists will evaluate that the first set fits properly so that any tweaks can be made. Our patients generally wear the trays as many hours in a day as possible. The alignment trays should be temporarily set aside for brushing, eating, and drinking colored liquids. When one tray has been worn for a specific period of time, the next phase of trays will replace the current set during a short appointment at Pat Booker Dental Care.
The treatment timeframe that a patient wears each group of aligners will change based on the specific needs of each person. The progression of trays needed is normally discussed by our dentists during the consultation. The trays will be worn as often as possible until the teeth are repositioned accordingly. A complete exam at Pat Booker Dental Care will be provided at each appointment so that the repositioning can be measured. Our dentists will provide feedback to patients so they are kept informed of the ongoing progression. Once the teeth are straight, a fixed retainer will be placed on the teeth for long-lasting results.
According to the details of the patient's dental insurance benefits, all or some of the treatment may be accounted for. Our team at Pat Booker Dental Care will talk to the patient's provider to validate their benefits and give a realistic estimate of the patient's out-of-pocket fees. Dental clients who do not have dental insurance for clear aligner treatment, may consider Pat Booker Dental Care's in-house payment considerations.
